How to Effectively Use a Facial Steamer
The following is a simplified procedure that should be followed when steaming clients in a spa:

• Ensure that the client’s face has been cleaned using a facial cleanser and dried with a towel; this will help in preventing the skin pores from getting clogged while steaming.
• If the steamer uses batteries, ensure they are well placed and functional; if it uses electricity, plug it into an electric socket so that it is ready for use.
• Put at least a cupful of water into the steamer; ensure that the water does not fill to overflowing.
• Some facial steamers have another compartment where you can put essential oils that will be vital for soothing the skin during the facial steaming. These oils will help in getting rid of any bacteria on the skin and in detoxification of the skin as well.
• Ensure that all the materials you will require for the facial steaming are within reach. Some of these materials are a large towel, moisturizers, cotton balls, toners and a facial mask.
• When the steam starts coming out, let the client put her face over the steamer and place a towel over her head. The steam should not be too hot to avoid burning the client’s face.
• Let the client’s face stay over the steamer for ten minutes and then let her move from the steamer. At this time, exfoliate the client’s face and rinse her off using clean water and then dry off the face with a clean towel.
• Apply a facial mask and let it dry, then rinse it off using warm water, and after that, use cool water and then dry the face.
• Apply the right toner on the face and afterward, use a moisturizer.

Your client’s skin is not rejuvenated and refreshed; she will leave your spa glowing and looking younger. The best part of it is that the client will definitely come back for more services.
