Tips on Taking Care of Your Skin After a Spa Facial
Spa Facials are the best way to rejuvenate your skin and leave it feeling completely fresh and radiant. However, the results may not be evident immediately. Moreover, to keep its benefits intact; there is a whole laundry of things that you need to do. Some specific precautions must be taken with some special facial spa like the laser facial. However, there are some general caring tips for your skin which are valid for any type of spa facial. They are:-
  • Try not to do anything to your face including cleansing for the next twenty-four hours. Your face is already clean leaving it untouched allows all the nutrients fed to your skin assimilate well and get completely absorbed.
  • Later, you must always use a gentle and foam based cleanser instead of harsh face washes.
  • Do not scrub or exfoliate your face for the next 5 to 7 days. Your skin has already been scrubbed intensely during the spa facial and your scrubbing further would irritate the skin and lead to undesirable consequences like rashes, redness etc.
  • It’s best not to apply any makeup or hash chemical based makeup, sunscreen and lotion on your skin after a spa facial. If possible, your skin should be left status quo for the next twenty-four hours.
  • You should avoid going into the sun immediately after a facial. Try taking the day off and staying indoors to ensure maximum radiance to your skin.
  • Do not subject your skin to any treatment like threading, waxing, laser treatment etc. immediately after a facial and for the next seven days. Your skin has been treated intensely and is highly sensitive. Any further treatment will attract repercussions.
  • Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated and toxins to flow out of your body smoothly.
  • Do not visit any steam or sauna rooms after a facial. Your pores are already open and you do not wish to open them further.
