Procedure of Carrying out Men’s Facial
The following is a simplified guide on ways of carrying out a facial treatment on men:
  • Cleanse: Using a cleansing cream, scrub the face lightly and ensure that the dirt and oil are removed from the face.
  • Exfoliate: Using a facial scrub that has micro-beads and warm water, scrub the face gently just like you would do a massage.  After a few minutes, rinse the face with warm water.
  • Steam:  After exfoliation, steam the face to help in opening up the pores. This will prepare the skin for the absorption of nutrients that will be applied to the face.
  • Extraction: If the face has blackheads or whiteheads, they will be removed at this juncture.
  • Facial massage: You will apply serum depending on the condition of the skin in order to nourish it and to keep it rejuvenated. To ensure that the serum gets into the skin properly, you will massage the face gently.
  • Mask application: In regards to the condition of the skin, you will choose the right mask; the mask will help in making the serum nutrients applied on the skin to get properly absorbed into the skin.
  • Toning: You will then apply a toner to help in closing the pores and to make sure that the facial skin attains a smooth texture and looks better.
  • Moisturizing: You will apply moisture on the face which will act as a protection against sun’s radiation and any other environmental condition that may damage the skin. The moisturizer should be chosen in regards to the client’s skin condition.
A man’s facial should be tailored in accordance to how his skin is; conditions such a dehydration, breakouts, blackheads, whiteheads, reddening, and hyperpigmentation, among others should guide you on the best treatment to carry out on a client. Ensure that the tools used are thoroughly cleaned to avoid causing bacterial infections after the facial treatment.
