Safety Measures When Operating a Spa
If you want to succeed in the spa business, you must provide an atmosphere that is safe for your customers. You will not get any benefit if a customer comes to your spa and the next day he is suffering from an infection or a fracture as a result of a fall while at your spa. Below are ways you can ensure that your spa is safe for use:

• Ensure that the spa is well ventilated: your spa should have a good circulation of air so that your customers will be safe while attending their sessions. Open the windows to allow air to flow freely and if you feel that the natural air is not enough, you can use a fan to facilitate the flow of air.
• Always ensure that all your customers take a shower before getting into the spa water. This will reduce the risk of contaminating the water.
• Do not allow a person with an open wound or an infection to access the spa. The hot water in the spa is a conducive environment for the spread of infections.
• Never allow children to access the spa on their own. An adult should supervise them and ensure that they are safe.
• Keep the spa room dry and wipe off any spills on the floor immediately. This will reduce the risk of falling while people move about in the spa.
• Do not allow a person who is intoxicated with alcohol to use the spa water as the possibility of drowning is very high.
• Provide secure lockers where your customers can safely keep their personal belongings and ensure that the locker is large enough to fit all their belongings.
• Always ensure that the spa facilities are in good shape. A customer will not come back to your spa or even recommend it to another if the facilities are not well maintained.

Any spa owner will definitely want a customer to come back again and this will only happen if the facility is safe. It will also make your customers recommend others and this will boost the proceeds from your spa.
