How to Steam a Client’s Face at Home As an esthetician, a client may request for mobile facial services and being a professional, you cannot turn him down. Here is a simple way you will be able to steam her face even without a steaming machine: What you will need:
Pot
Hairband
Mild cleanser
Glass bowl
Towel
Cotton balls
Vinegar
Step 1: Ensure that the client’s hair is tucked away from the face Step 2: Clean and exfoliate the client’s face making sure it is completely clean. You should not use a lot of force while scrubbing to avoid irritating the skin. Step 3: Put five cups of water in a pot and bring it to boil. Step 4: Once the water has reached to boiling point, transfer it into a glass bowl that is placed on a firm surface, preferably a table. Step 5: Let the client sit comfortably in a position that she will be able to place her face over the glass bowl that contains the hot water. Step 6: Drape a clean towel over the client’s head and ensure it covers both the client and the glass bowl full of water. If the client feels that the steam coming from the water is too hot, help her get a little farther from the hot water. Step 7: The client should stay over the hot steam for fifteen minutes, but if she wishes to stay until the steam cools off, it will be okay. Step 8: Clean the client’s face using lukewarm water Step 9: Use a cotton ball that has been dipped in vinegar to rub the client’s face. This will ensure that all the debris are removed, leaving the pores clean. Rinse the face with warm water once again and dry it using a clean towel. You can now apply a moisturizer to make sure the client is well hydrated. If it was a step to other facial procedures, you will then continue to the next step.
