Facial Contraindications
A facial is a great way to feel and look good but it has to be done when the skin is in the right condition. If you suffer from any of the below conditions, you should avoid the use of having a facial treatment:

• Acute sunburn: If your face has acute sunburns as a result of exposure to the sun, you should avoid having a facial treatment. You should instead look for a way to treat the sunburn after which you can have the facial treatment.
• If you suffer from severe cystic acne that has open pustules
• If your face is bruised or has a swelling
• If there is an open cut on your face or even abrasions, you should wait until the wound is completely healed.
• If you suffer from conjunctivitis, commonly known as pink eye
• If you have severe eczema
• If you are suffering from severe psoriasis
• If you suffer from severe allergic reactions
• If you suffer from impetigo.

The above is not the entire list of conditions that would make you keep off a facial treatment. Ensure that you inform the esthetician if you have any health complication before you undergo a facial treatment. This is the only way you can be assured of great results where your skin will be more beautiful than before you went for the facial.
To avoid suffering from conditions such as sunburn that would deny you a chance to look beautiful, always ensure that you keep off from the sun before you go for a facial. If you must go to a place where your skin will be exposed to the sun, apply a sunscreen lotion to protect yourself from sunburns.
If you are allergic to any chemical substance that is used during a facial, you should ensure that you inform the esthetician before you get into the treatment. This will give him a chance to look for a product that will not cause any reaction to your skin.
